The Corner Shop is a giant re-imagined bathroom; Le Vestiaire is a "surrealist interpretation of a swimming pool", featuring a host of 3D sensory experiences; and 24/24 is a vending machine stocked with Chiquito and Bambino bags, which can be bought 24 hours a day.

The brand is known to explore hypherphysical stores - a trend identified by @thefuturelaboratory to describe retail spaces that go above and beyond conventional retail - with previous viral pop-ups in Milan and Paris.

These hyperphysical retail experiences can help to attract younger modern affluent consumers. According to an @ibm survey, 56% of global Gen Z shoppers visit physical stores for a fun experience.

You've heard of the Metaverse, but what about the You've heard of the Metaverse, but what about the Betterverse?

In its latest presentation, @thefuturelaboratory explores how organisations can build a Betterverse from nascency. The presentation suggests key future trends for organisations to build upon within the metaverse, including:

1. Radical Accessibility. Less than 2% of the internet currently meets accessibility guidelines, according to @accessibe_community.

2.  Educational Eco-systems. A report by @pwc_uk forecasts that by 2030, nearly 23.5m jobs will use AR and VR for training, meetings, or customer service.

3. Democratised Services. Seoul is to become the first city with its own metaverse platform, offering public services such as a mayor's office for citizens to file virtual complaints.

Is there such a thing as genuine Retail Therapy?

Retailers and wellbeing brands are exploring the potential of the high street to boost mental wellbeing and destigmatise mental health conversations.

Earlier this year, @theofficialselfridges launched SUPERSELF, a wellbeing initiative designed to help shoppers rest while visiting stores. With virtual reality increasingly being used as a tool to boost mental health, the retailer partnered with sensory reality experts @sensiks to install mental wellbeing pods in key UK stores, equipped with a VR experience to help improve mood.

'Emotional fitness' brand @joincoa is planning to open local mental health 'gyms' in major cities across the US, designed to echo the growing market for local fitness studios and make mental health resources as accessible as their physical health counterparts.

@guerlain has released 1828 virtual bees as NFTs, @guerlain has released 1828 virtual bees as NFTs, otherwise known as "Cryptobees", to support a rewilding project in the Vallée de la Millière nature reserve in France. Each Cryptobee is connected with one of 1828 pockets of land within the reserve, with owners receiving precise geographical coordinates of the section that it sponsors.

NFTs have been controversial for their energy usage, but these Cryptobees will be sold on the Tezos blockchain, which claims to use less energy than most blockchains.

They will go on sale at the end of April on NFT marketplace objkt.com. The brand has launched a Guerlain Reaverse Twitter account @guerlain_nft to promote the #CleanNFT initiative, as well as starting a "Reaverse" community.
